March 20 th , 2017
A quick exchange via text message that started a little like this:
March 21 st , 2017. Giovanni’s on 149 th Street and the Grand Concourse.
Tech nerd Vance meets vagabond Val. They chitchat in Val’s old neighborhood pizza
joint. Hours of conversation melt away, and before this sounds like every love story
ever told, Vance and Val didn’t think it was love at first sight. They just knew there
would be more.
And there was.
It looked a little something like this…
The Engagement

April 4 th , 2018
Valerie never saw it coming. She signed up for a boy’s trip in Japan just to get a
moment with Vance. The trickster he is, Vance promised to make it worth her while.
As a true romantic gentleman, Vance first sought the approval of Valerie’s dad and
the consult of her now Matron of Honor Makeeba along with select others on how
best to make the moment special. What a success!
